The Perfect Father’s Day Present; A $48,000 Golf Book

Four years in the making, Golf weighs in at 82 pounds. Co-creators Paul Skillet and Simon Weitzman have billed this book as the world’s most luxurious and unique golf publication. The 140 page book is a 3 foot by 18 inches museum grade editorialized art collection.

Golf features hand-torn pages, a cover made of 400 year old Russian Hide leather and an oak slipcase box.  Weitzman stated “Our mission has been to create a satirical informed work of prose and art, designed to capture the true spirit of the game from its formative growth, through to the realities of the recent financial depression, and on toward new and exciting horizons”.  (Now I get it)

The book is a limited edition of 10. However just in case you are late getting to the store and miss out on obtaining your copy, Golf will also be available in a smaller, more affordable Collector Edition for only $630. (What a relief!)

Signed limited edition artwork from the book will be offered at prices ranging from $115 to $289.

So if you are in need of the perfect Father’s Day gift look no farther. However if you would like to reward this hardworking blogger with a small present you can email me for my mailing address.

As always, keep ‘em in the fairway!

Golf on Father’s Day; Some blasphemy

I love golf and have been playing since thirteen. I began playing with my father and I had many great times with him on the course. I now play with my son (who is terrible) and enjoy every minute of the time we spend together on the course.

However golf is not a religion nor does it nor should it define my life or my relationship with my son. If it does I am a failure as a person and a father. My father always told me to practice hard and never give up on the golf course but my performance was ultimately only a number and should never describe who I am. Of course I feel better when I play well but even if I shoot 110 my self esteem is still intact.

We all take the game much too seriously. Relax; enjoy it and no more club throwing please.
